The late, legendary pianist and composer Joe Sample found endless  delight in creating and uncovering — and discovering — new musical  wonders. Sample’s restless spirit guided a career that spanned nearly  five decades blazing new compositional trails across the terrain of jazz  music and beyond; contributing hundreds of songs — many of which are  considered standards — to jazz, jazz fusion, blues, gospel, acoustic  jazz, and classical.

This  evening—we pay tribute to the iconic artist and Premiere of The Joe  Sample Soundstage with Special Guests: India Arie, Hubert Laws, Bobby  Lyle, Ray Parker Jr, Kim Burrell, Jewel Brown, C.J.Chenier, and many  more.

The celebration will be held on Joe Sample’s 83rd Birthday, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 8pm-10pm at House of Blues-Houston.
